Format:
1) The tournament will be played in a 'Best of 3 Format', where each player has to mandatorily play all 3 matches including when a player has already won the first 2 matches out of 3
2)Top 8 players on the leaderboard (subject to fraud checks) will be given a ticket to the MPL Esports Weekend Summit Event to be held on 15th and 16th January.
3)Below is the criteria to select the Top 8 Players from the leaderboard:
L1: Total number of absolute matches won by the players. To illustrate, where Player A has won 10 matches out of 25 played, and Player B has won 12 matches from 15 played, Player B will be ranked higher due to higher absolute wins
L2: If L1 is also a tie between players, decision will be made basis the total number of games played by the player. To illustrate, if Player A has won 12 matches out of 15 and Player B has won 12 matches out of 20, Player B will be declared winner
L3: If L2 is also a tie the final decision will be made by MPL based on the player's MPL age, where the older person will be selected over the younger MPL user
4) Free Battles will be excluded from this data
5) If a player gets a break in consecutive matches then he has to wait till the timer ends and the second player has to break.
6) In case of a tie, the actual prize may vary. MPL will not be liable in any way for such variation in the prizes and such variation will be at the sole discretion of MPL.
7) Your first opponent will be decided when the tournament is about to start. If sufficient players have not registered and opponent cannot be set for some players, they will be treated as qualified for the next round.
8) When it is time and your round has started, please join the game and wait for your opponent.
9) Please do not minimize or switch to a different app while waiting for your opponent or in the middle of the game.
Disqualification:
1) All scores are verified. In the event of a foul play, the participant unequivocally agrees that MPL shall have all rights to penalise including but not limited to immediate disqualification of the participant.
2) Each participant may participate in the competition by using only one user account. Any Participant found using multiple user accounts, will be disqualified immediately.
3) Each participant may participate in the competition by using only one device. Any participant who changes device after the registration and during the gameplay will not be able to join the game. User will have to revert to original device to be able to play again.
4) All qualified players are given sufficient time to finish their game by the end of the corresponding round. If players play past the allotted time, both will be disqualified for the next round and will be awarded with the reward of the respective round, if any.
5) MPL may, at its sole discretion, revise/modify/change the grounds for Disqualification at any time at its discretion, without notice to the Participant.
6) Your participation in the tournament is subject to checks by MPL for fairplay, no-bot deployment, cheating and collusion. You acknowledge and agree that if you are found engaging in or violating any of these mentioned parameters, you will be immediately disqualified from the tournament by MPL, and MPL’s decision shall be final and binding in this regard.
General rules:
1) By taking part in this tournament, you are aware and agree to the recording and / or streaming of your matches (Quarter Finals to Finals) on any platform selected by MPL. You acknowledge and agree to provide to MPL your full support and cooperation to facilitate recording and/ or streaming of your matches. You agree that your refusal to cooperate in this regard shall result in immediate disqualification from the tournament.
2) Total tax of 31.2% is applicable on winnings of Rs.10,000 and above - as per Govt. rules.
