Commitment

It’s very important that if you are taking part and committing to any UFHQ tournaments that you have the time and can give it your full undivided attention to complete all the matches as well as being in contact at all times.

We want to make these tournaments as fun as possible and non-committed players disrupt and waste other players time and Admin efforts.

All players must be connected to the UFHQ chat rooms, with their latest Gamertags / PSN ID available, so you can easily be added to play games.

Rules

Players are prohibited from sharing account information
This includes, but is not limited to the following: user names, passwords, game tags, email accounts, etc. If another person accesses your account, you may be disqualified from the tourney. This includes giving out your password to allow others to account recover your Xbox or PS4 Gamertag.

Make sure your Gamertag / PSN Details are correct

It is the responsibility of the player to ensure the Gamertag/PSN ID they use, matches the Gamertag/PSN ID listed on their UFHQ Profile.

Show Respect

Always respect other players and the admins who run it on your behalf.

This will allow the low rated teams to compete by maximise their pool of players to their squads to get the best out of them. Also custom mode will allow you to save your many changes if required.

But No silly Custom Formations with 5+ in defence. Anyone abusing the custom mode will be warned or removed from the tourney.

Tourney Format

24 teams
six groups
Top two from each group go through to the knockout stage.
Four best third-ranked sides will also progress.

Arranging Fixtures

All players must be in the UFHQ Chat room or on the tourney forum thread, during the tournament for communication with their opponents & admin.

Your Name/GT/PSN ID will be on the bracket, but you can confirm with your opponent in the chat room so there is no confusion. If any player is unsure please contact admin to double check.

It is advised all players add their group opponents PSN's to their console prior to the tourney starting.

You have 8 days to play your 3 group games in any order. Use the forum thread to time stamp your arranged time to play with your opponent, which could be important if it comes down to no shows & defaulting games if a player is making no effort to respond or to complete the fixture. You can use other means to arrange with your opponents, but ideally use the forum chat room to meet up.

Tournament Deadlines / Unplayed Fixtures

Cut off points will be set for where games have to be completed within a certain period of time, so the tourney can progress. Any games not completed will be defaulted accordingly.

Always check the tourney page info/schedule for that particular tourney & what deadlines have been set in advance.
No show = 2-0 default loss.

Hosting

If having problems connecting then swap hosts and play it as an away match, but notify Admin.

Connection Issues

If during the game it goes out of sync or freezes:
During the first 5 mins, regardless of the score, you start again at 0-0

Any time after 5 mins, whatever time was left when it went out of sync you replay the game, but only the remaining time which was left (for example it froze on 60 mins and was 4-3 you reconnect and play only 30 mins of the first half at 4-3. Make sure when you reconnect, you both agree on the time to be played and what the current score is).

Fair-play Rule, Bugs

Fair-play: Fair Play – In our Tourneys we require some fair play, here are some requirements needed as follows:Backward pass – Every time you kick off, you must pass the ball backwards – No bombing forward!

No pausing in play. At no circumstances can you pause the game in the middle of play. You can only pause in dead ball situations (throw-in, corner kicks, goal kicks, etc).

In extreme circumstances where the game gets disrupted by bad lag/pausing, the player with the ball or who paused must give the ball back by kicking it out for a goal kick once resumed. Any other than doing so will be void, i.e. scoring.

No show boating allowed, or keeping ball in defence for long periods of time, when you have the lead etc. Also no chopping down players on purpose and slowing down play – keep the game flowing.

Game Bug: We also don’t allow gaming bugs that spoil the spirit of the game or gives some one a distinct advantage. Any bug that is discovered and can not be counter-acted e.g. Kick off bug, will be banned. Obviously this is a very grey area as its hard to prove if players do them deliberately or even know about the bugs, so benefit of the doubt will be given – but you must report it. However, do not use this as an excuse all the time for your defeats.

Reporting Match Results – Do the following

The Winner must Submit the result in this Forum Thread.
Format: "Round / Home GT or PSN ID 2-0 Away GT or PSN ID"

All results must be posted immediately. If not posted and the result's not confirmed or updated by Admin you’re in danger of being defaulted.

If any results have not been updated or there is a score line not quite right please contact Admin."

Etiquette

Friendly banter is allowed but if it gets out of hand, it’ll be reviewed and the person(s) warned (yellow card/strikes). Any further complaints, the person(s) will be banned or suspended (red card).

Abusive language towards other players within the competition and/or volunteer Staff will not be tolerated in any form. This includes written messages or verbal comments inside and outside of match chat rooms. This may result in disqualification from the competition.

Discretion

Tournament Admins have the right to use their discretion to overcome any problems throughout the tournaments and can remove anyone they feel is disrupting the tournament. We want our tournaments to run smoothly and in good spirits and we hope you do too.

Thank you for taking the time to read the above rules.
The Admins wish you the best of luck and most importantly, have fun!
