Règles
1) Insomnia Event Rules
1.1) Each team must consist of a minimum of 6 players, with each player owning a valid Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) Ticket.

1.2) Every member of the team must be in attendance at the event and playing from the venue.

1.3) Either of these rules being broken will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.

2) Global Tournament Rules, Terms, and Conditions
2.1) You may only enter one UK Masters BYOC prize tournament at the event. Registering for more than one prize tournament may result in you or your team being disqualified from all tournaments at the event.

2.2) UK Masters staff reserve the right to change the Rules & Conditions at any time in order to maintain an environment of fair competition for all entrants.

3) Eligibility
3.1) All matches must be played on or with the resources supplied by Essentials and the Event Organisers - for instance, all matches must be played on servers provided at the event in TF2, and all matches must be organized via the chosen Tournament Platform and Communication software (Toornament & Discord).

3.2) In order to participate in the tournament each team requires a full roster to be signed up; teams without the requisite number of players may not be admitted into the tournament.

3.3) The tournament works on a first-come-first-served basis when the team limit is reached we will be unable to guarantee admission for any new teams. You may join the waiting list but there is the possibility that the team will not be able to play in the tournament, in order to ensure you are able to take part please sign up with a full roster well in advance of the event.

3.4) Teams have 90 minutes from 12:00 to 13.30 on Friday to check their team in. If you do not check in during this period you will not be granted admission to the tournament, as it is assumed that you are not present and as such is unable to play.

4) Code of Conduct
4.1) Before delving into the depths of the game-specific rules, please familiarise yourself with the Tournament Code of Conduct that has additional rules regarding all tournaments -https://insomniagamingfestival.com/tournament-terms/

5) General Information
5.1) Tournament Format - The group stages will feature two separate Round Robin stages, the Invite and Open groups, following into a 16 Team Double Elimination bracket for the Playoffs.

5.2) The full tournament structure and schedule (including Fixture Times and Dates) can be found on the Toornament Page.

5.3) Map Pick/Ban - Team 1 ban, Team 2 Ban, Team 1 Ban, Team 2 Ban, Team 1 Ban, Team 2 Pick. (For Bo1 & Bo2). Contact Administrators for Bo3 and Bo5 map bans.

6) Administrators
Tournament Admins: DrHappiness & Aoshi

6.1) Players should always address the administrators in a polite and respectful way.

6.2) An administrator has the final say in all matters.

6.3) Under certain circumstances administrators reserve the right to change the rules.

7) Communication
7.1) Communication between teams prior to their matches can be done via discord. The Discord can be found on the Toornament Page.

8) Timekeeping
8.1) Players must be ready within 10 minutes of the match start time. The stated match start time is not the time players should start joining, but the time the actual match should begin. If a player is not ready then the team will be required to play without that player. Should they refuse to play then they will be disqualified from the tournament.

8.2) Players are allowed a 5-minute break between tournament games if the previous game overran. Taking more than 10-minute breaks between rounds in a Bo3 format is also not permitted, you should play the games consecutively.

8.3) Administrators reserve the right to change these timings if circumstances require it.

8.4) If a game has not begun within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the team with the most members of their team in the server (minimum 5 Players) may claim a default by contacting one of the Administrators.

8.5) Any results that are submitted after the deadline will be nullified and instead considered a draw. Purposely delaying matches are not allowed.

8.6) In certain circumstances the admin may disqualify both teams if team’s behavior and conduct warrants it.

9) Game Settings
9.1) All matches are to be played with the latest version of the Essentials Config, Global Whitelist.

9.2) The correct map version must be played according to the defined Map Pool.

9.3) Class limits are 2 for each of scout and soldier; 1 for all other classes.

9.4) If a map ends in a draw during playoffs a Golden Cap will decide the winner with a time limit of 10. If the time limit runs out the team holding mid wins.

10) Player Settings
10.1) Each player must have a personal Steam account.

10.2) Any player settings configurable within the game client are acceptable. For exceptions see 14) Bugs and Misuse

11) Demos & Screenshots
11.1) Screenshots must be taken of all players in the server as well as the final score. Match Logs are required to prove a match result, but Screenshots may be requested to solve match disputes.

11.2) All players have to record POV demos and may be requested at any time.

11.3) Penalties will be given to teams who fail to provide a requested Screenshot or Demo file.

12) Disconnects & Computer Failure
12.1) If a game is interrupted by a computer, network or software failure then the decision of whether to award a win or replay the game will be at the administrator’s discretion.

13) Complaints
13.1) If a player wants to make a complaint about a game result, the player has to tell the administrator assigned to the match before the next match starts. If a player wants to object a game result ruled by an administrator, this has to take place before the next game.

14) Bugs & Misuse
14.1) No cheating of any kind is allowed.

14.2) Use of bugs or significant exploits is not allowed.

14.3) Scripts that allow a player to perform an action in-game that he would not be able to execute without the script or scripts that purposefully disrupt the player hitbox are banned. Scripts that freeze or glitch the player model (e.g. in mid-air to be less predictable) to make it harder to hit are also banned.

15) Observers & Streaming
15.1) No live spectators are allowed

15.2) Players may not watch or listen to any streams of the tournament while playing. Players may watch streams outside of tournament matches.

15.3) Players are welcome to stream their matches with permission from the admin. Same goes for independent community streamers. Although players are encouraged apply a 90-second delay to match the STV delay if their match is eligible for casting.

15.4) Player’s matches are eligible for casting if they are in the Invite Bracket during the Round Robin Stage or in the Double Elimination Bracket. Team Leaders will be contacted prior to their match if their match has been selected.

16) Stoppages & Pauses
16.1) Each team has the right to a tactical pause the game for a short duration if a player announces it outside of an active engagement (Push/Holds) with prior notice given to the opposition. The game must not be resumed before both teams agree with it. A team is seen to agree when any one of the players from that team states that they are ready.

16.2) A team can request 1 tactical pause per map. The absolute longest a game can be paused is 5 minutes, at which point the game MUST be resumed, except at the discretion of the tournament administration team.

16.3) Teams may pause for technical issues, with the same circumstances when requesting a tactical pause applied. Teams can pause untill the issue is fixed, but excessive or abuse of technical pauses is not allowed.

17) Score Confirmation
17.1) The winning team is responsible for sending tournament admins the match result

18) Substitutes
18.1) Teams may have up to two substitutes listed as part of their team. These substitutes are locked when registrations close and may not be added later.

18.2) Teams are allowed to switch a maximum of 1 player per match at a maximum of 1 time.

19) Sportsmanship
19.1) A player who uses obscene, profane or abusive
language directed to any other person will be disqualified from the tournament.

19.2) A person or team who uses an obscene, profane or abusive nickname or team name will be disqualified from the tournament.

19.3) A player or a team that deliberately throws a match will be disqualified from the tournament.

19.4) A team that forfeits more than 2 matches in one day will be disqualified from the tournament.

19.5) Should a player purposely attempt to sabotage the games, another player or an administrator in any way, the player will be disqualified.

19.6) Should the unsportsmanlike behavior break Insomnia’s Tournament Code of Conduct, the player or team will be punished under the Insomnia Gaming Festival, not the Tournament Organizers.

20) Rule Amendments
20.1) All Admin decisions are final.

20.2) It is at the discretion of the Tournament Director to modify any of the rules above for any reason. The rules are most likely to be amended in the following cases (without limitation):

- If a different patch/version release is used and modifications to the rules are necessary to ensure fair play.

-If a game breaking bug is discovered during the course of the tournament.

-If players are suspected or proven to be engaging in unfair play or collusion to fix the results of a game.

-If changes to game settings and/or operations guidelines are necessary due to differences between online and offline tournaments.

-If there are substantial delays to a tournament that would prevent it from concluding in a timely fashion as required by a live venue.
