📋 REGISTRATION
====================

1. Team captains must use this website to register their team. Registered teams must consist of 6-10 players from North and/or South America. Non-captain players do not need to have accounts on this website in order to be part of a registered team (captains provide information for all players on their team during registration -- fake email addresses can be provided for registered players).
2. Team captains must provide their Discord username including 4-digit tag (e.g., johndoe#1234) during registration.
3. Registering a team does not guarantee participation in the tournament; approval by the tournament organizer is also required.
4. Only 3 registered teams will be approved to participate in this cup to keep things manageable. Future cups will allow for more teams to participate!

====================
📅 SCHEDULE
====================

1. The tournament will take place on October 2nd with matches starting at 4pm, 6:30pm, and 9pm Eastern time.
2. Matchups will be published on this website and announced via Discord after 3 teams have been approved to participate.
3. A match may be played at any date or time that the two teams agree upon (except no sooner than matchups are published and no later than Oct. 3). If the teams cannot agree on a date and time, the match must be played on the date and time scheduled by the tournament organizer.

====================
🖧 SERVERS
====================

1. 1 US server will be provided by the tournament organizer for playing matches (server info will be shared with team captains).
2. If a team with mostly North American players faces a team with mostly South American players, the first map must be played on a North American server and the second map must be played on a South American server, and so on, if possible.
3. Teams may play on any server(s) that both teams agree on; if the teams cannot agree, one of the tournament servers should be used as described above.

====================
📜 GAMEPLAY RULES
====================

1. By default, each team can play 5 or 6 registered players in any round of a match. If the other team agrees, however, a team can play any number of registered or unregistered players in any round of a match.
2. Each team must have an acceptable number of players (see previous rule) readied up in the match server no later than 10 minutes after the scheduled match start time. After the first round, each team must have an acceptable number of players readied up for each round within 5 minutes from the end of the previous round. If both teams agree, more time may be allowed for readying up before any given round. If a team is not adequately readied up for a round, that team must take a loss for that map and then has 5 minutes to ready up for the next map.
3. Shoutcasters are not allowed unless both teams agree.
4. Cheating and using exploits are not allowed.
5. Each team may use one pause per stopwatch round but must unpause within two minutes of the other team requesting that they do so.
6. If a match server lags excessively mid-round (continuous lag spikes for at least half of non-spectating players), a pause should be used until both teams agree to unpause (this will not count as an allotted pause for either team). If a server lags for more than 5 minutes or multiple spikes occur, a different server should be used if possible, however either team has the right to force a reschedule of the match in this case unless both teams agree to report a particular result instead of finishing the match.
7. If a match server crashes mid-round, the round should be replayed. If a server crashes multiple times during a match, a different server should be used if possible, however either team has the right to force a reschedule of the match in this case unless both teams agree to report a particular result instead of finishing the match.
8. Players cannot be substituted mid-round except if a player lags out mid-round, in which case another player on the team should be substituted in if possible. If there is no player to sub in, a pause may be used, if available (see rule #4 in this section), to wait for the lagged-out player to achieve normal ping and/or reconnect to the server. Otherwise, the round should resume as is.
9. The console should be used to determine map winner in close games.
10. All players must record demos of each map and be willing to share these demos with the tournament organizer if requested.
11. A team must report a forfeit/incomplete if the team either did not show up for a match or abandoned the match before a sufficient number of maps was played (remember: a match ends when one team wins 3 maps or when 5 maps are played, whichever comes first).

Tournament tiebreaker (in descending order):
1. Most wins overall
2. Most draws overall
3. Most points head-to-head
4. Most game wins overall
5. Most game draws overall
