Rules
You need a Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch Lite with either versions of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield. An online subscription is needed. Nintendo Switch consoles need to be up to date with the latest software versions.

Format:
Double Battle with Normal Rules.
All matches will be paired on Toornament and will require a code to be made on a Link Battle in game. Codes need to be distributed to opponents to join matches.
Best out of 3 will move on to next round.

**New Rules:
This ruleset continues the addition of available Gigantamax Pokémon and now allows all presently available Gigantamax.

Pokémon Restrictions:
Galar Pokédex, Isle of Armor Pokédex, Alola Starters, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion. Require Galar Mark or Battle Ready Mark

Pokémon Limits and Teams:
Team of 4 to 6 Pokémon (Doubles) from Level 1 to Level 100. All Pokémon then set to Level 50
Keep your team unchanged from the beginning to end of the event. No swopping out of Pokémon from the selected party between matches. This will be deemed a disqualification.

Allowed Gigantamax:
Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Butterfree, Pikachu, Meowth, Machamp, Gengar, Kingler, Lapras, Eevee, Snorlax, Garbodor, Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon, Corviknight, Orbeetle, Drednaw, Coalossal, Flapple, Appletun, Sandaconda, Toxtricity, Centiskorch, Hatterene, Grimmsnarl, Alcremie, Copperajah, Duraludon, Urshifu

Allowed Pokémon:
All available regional variants of Pokémon in the Galar Pokédex, including those that weren't available before the launch of Pokémon HOME, such as Alolan Ninetales.

The first partner Pokémon from the Kanto and Alola regions.
Galarian Slowpoke.
The following Pokémon, even when they have the Gigantamax Factor: Kingler, Lapras, Orbeetle, Flapple, Appletun, Toxtricity, Hatterene, Grimmsnarl, and Alcremie
Charizard that have both the Gigantamax Factor and the Hidden Ability Solar Power.
Pokémon that inherited moves or Abilities from Pokémon that originated from Pokémon HOME.
No hacked Pokemon are allowed.

Banned Pokémon:
Mewtwo, Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, Marshadow, Zeraora, Meltan, Melmetal, Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus

Items:
Pokèmon may hold and item but no two Pokémon may hold the same item.

If you are caught hacking or have a Pokémon with an illegal move, ability or hidden ability, your Pokémon will be banned from play and you will need to continue with the remainder of the Pokémon in your party. If you are left with 4 or less Pokémon after having Pokémon banned, you will be disqualified and unable to continue with the rest of the tournament.

Any player causing minor or major interruptions during play such as cancelling matches before ending will be disqualified from the tournament.
