Rules
1. Requirements

Participants have to be at least 16 years or older. Everyone is welcome to join no matter what your rank is, for fairness and a better experience. However, we would welcome balanced Teams. The accounts should be at least Level 30 and have had a rank at some point. Exceptions may be discussed. The games will exclusively be played on the live version of the EUW servers.
-----------------------------
2. Application requirement:

To apply for a tournament you and your team members need to join the discord server, all team members have to be on discord. once your team joins, your team captain should dm one of the admins with a full list of the team discord users so that the registration is accepted. You need at least 5 main players, you may add one additional substitute and one coach. For applying, players need to provide both in-game and discord names.

These names will be strictly bound to the participants. Smurfing and Account swapping is prohibited. Due to organization complications, name changes after inclusion into the bracket will not be entertained.

The team must agree on a team name, which they will carry through the whole tournament.
Consider that player changes after approval is difficult to organize so make sure your players are willing to participate.

3. Some of the games will be featured in a Cast on Twitch, with a delay of 3 to 5 minutes. By applying to the tournament the player agrees to participate in the broadcast.

4. The games will be played in the Tournament Draft mode on Summoners Rift. The size of the bracket will determine whether the games will be held in a BO1 or a BO3 format. It also determines if all games of a stage will be held at a time or separately.

5. Further information will always be announced in Discord and updated in the tournament tree.

6. The grand final and (if in the bracket, the game for 3rd place) will be played and cast separately.

7. Additionally, interviews between games may be announced. The casters reserve the right to include teams' voice channels into the stream.

8. Gameplay

9. Each game will be granted an estimated time of 60 minutes. This guideline is only for a vague evaluation of the gamedays length and will only be important in the early stages of the draft.

10. After the assignment of the teams to the tournament tree, the Team captain with the higher seeding number creates the match for the corresponding encounter, if not organized via Tournament Code. The casters reserve the right to cast any game in the tournament, therefore spectators must be enabled. Disregarding this can go as far as getting rematched for the running game.

11. Usually though, the Casters will predetermine what games they will be streaming. Information on that will be available in #announcements and the tournament tree itself.

12. Upon a game's end the team captains note the results in the #team room. Keep the specified form in mind.

13. After that, the tournament tree will be updated and the preparations for the next game can start.

14. Special Rules

15. GitGudUAE and any of its organizing members have full discretion when it comes to registrations, disqualifications, tournament structure, and any other element related to its tournaments.

16. A coaching between games and during the Pick&Ban phase after agreement with the organization is possible, but only when the team designates a Coach beforehand.

17. The game's start can be delayed by a maximum of 15 minutes due to technical issues. After this time the GitGudUAE has full discretion to disqualify a team for delays.

18. Teams can request a single rehost in case of someone disconnects during the Pick&Ban phase. Informing the opposing team is sufficient for that. In that case, the teams have to pick and ban in the exact same order as before.

19. A rehost after the in-game loading screen has successfully finished is not necessarily eligible and can be protested by the opposing team.

20. Non-appearance or leaving a game counts as forfeit and results in the win of the opposing team.

21. Respect and sportsmanship are important. Insults or excessive taunting can result in the exclusion of the player or even the teams' disqualification.

22. It comes in handy to document all relevant events like the pick order in case of a remake.

23. Any questions, complaints, or protests (like the second failed pick&ban phase) may be reported directly to the tournament management. Screenshots or even videos are beneficial.

24. Every matter of concern is to be addressed in the #team name exclusively and tagged with GitGudUAE.

25. The following list of skins is prohibited from use and may provide sufficient grounds for rematching the game. In that case, the protesting team has to protest immediately and will be in the position to decide over whether they want the Pick&Ban order to be the same or remade:

26. The following skins are grounds for a protest by opposing teams:

Justicar Syndra
iBlitzcrank
Project Ashe
Every Arclight Skin
Forsaken Jayce
Steel Legion Lux
Astro Nautilus

(list is updating and subject to change)

27. Streaming a game from a player's Point of View is generally allowed. For that, you best announce your intentions to the GitGudUAE. You also need to set a delay of at least 3 minutes (180 seconds) in your stream, any complaints about ghosting or other disadvantages will be considered your responsibility.

28. Recording is generally allowed.
