◇ Mission Statement ◇
To create greater parody in matchups, providing a more enjoyable experience for all parties.

◇ STARCARDS ◇
1. Official Ruleset: DSE Rules
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c4rN8xPIP0YJ7WBNm5HvrO6M1EXjUwe7tIEHC0DImjk

◇ TOURNAMENT/MATCH SYSTEM ◇

2. Seeds determined by average finish in the other tournies of the circuit.

3. Match size is 4 versus 4. Teams may play with other numbers if both teams agree to it, otherwise, if one team cannot field 4 players before the deadline, then they must take a substitute (or substitutes) approved by their opponent. If a team is constantly rejecting seemingly fair substitute(s), then tournament administrators can force the team to accept substitute(s) they deem fair.

4. Match series are best of 3. The winner of a series is the team who wins 2 maps, so the third map is not played if a team wins the first 2 maps. Combined map score does not factor in.

5. Tiebreakers: If a map is drawn, team sum objective score will be used as the map tiebreaker. Do not replay the map. Do not leave the lobby before getting a screenshot as a player who left will be scored as a 0. If a third map is necessary, the whole map is to be played. Refer to tiebreakers in Note A if that map is drawn.

7. Map Ban & Selection Process

Note A: Team A is determined by higher seed in Playoffs.

Pick-Bans:

Map Selection:
1. Team A bans any map.
2. Team B bans any map.
3. Team A picks a map for Team B to host.
4. Team B picks a map for Team A to host.
5. Team A bans a map.
6. Team B bans a map.
7. Team A selects host or faction for the 3rd map if necessary.

8. If a team does not appear with their full roster or approved subs to 30 minutes after the scheduled time when it was supposed to be played, the present team has right to demand automatic win. Please inform administrators of matches you have scheduled and the time.

10. Screenshots and/or video recordings are proof of match results.

◇ REGISTRATIONS/ROSTER/SUBS ◇

11. One person cannot participate on official rosters in two or more teams.

Note: Players currently banned by the Battlefront 2015 PC Admin team and/or players convicted of hacking since the creation of the Battlefront 2015 PC server are not permitted to register.

12. Substitutions are allowed between games during a match, and must be approved by their opponent. Substitutes may be members of other rosters.

If you notice issues with opponent squad (non-registered player) you are required to mention it BEFORE the match starts.

13. Rosters for players lock after they have played a map. Players being added and removed must be approved by the other captains in that team's tier. A maximum of 6 players may be on a roster.

Note: Rosters being unlocked is not intended for strengthening rosters, but for replacing players who prove to be inactive. Players switching or being added to teams with clear intent to strengthen rosters will not be permitted. This judgement will be determined at administrator digression. Roster changes will only be approved if there is a valid reason, such as player technical issues, extended inactivity, etc.

◇ CHEATING/GENTLEMAN AGREEMENTS ◇

14. Teams can agree to custom rules using a "Gentlemen’s Agreement". An agreement can be made between two teams about player skins, team size, and substitutions etc. You can not add or remove banned/limited items using this agreement. Clear documentation of the agreement of both teams is required in order to prevent miscommunication. If there is a conflict without documentation, teams will be required to replay the game.

15. Spectators are recommended as an anti-cheat measure. Judgement by tournament staff will settle disagreements. Staff is human who may make mistakes in heat of the moment, so note that judgements made are not final and may be overridden by ex post facto in the event of a mistake. Spectators are required to be in the Spectator voice chat of the Battlefront 2015 PC discord server during matches.

Note: If violations are not brought in a timely manner to the attention of administrator action may not be taken.

If you notice issues with opponent spectators you are mention it to an administrator .

16. If one or more players disconnect during a match:

if already halfway through the map (7.5 minutes) the team that is connected may chose to accept the current score as final, remake at that time, or play on with player(s) sitting to equalize the player numbers.

if not yet halfway through the map then the team that is connected may chose to remake with that time or play on with players sitting to equalize the player numbers.

Players are not allowed to change hands for the replayed game and teams may not substitute players.

If a player disconnects when their opponent is clearly about to score, the point will be awarded still.

17. If you notice that a player or team has broken the rules you are obliged to inform the opposing team immediately in game chat. Otherwise players may not be punished. If a team has a minor in game violation, such as having an illegal starcard, the offended team may elect to play on, remake, or restart.

18. All proven cheating means an automatic DISQUALIFICATION OF THAT PLAYER. If a player gets caught using illegal software, then that player cannot participate in the tournament anymore. Use of glitches (on purpose or giving an advantage) will result in penalties that will become more harsh if repeated. Players may be required to record at any time if Administrators deem their behavior suspicious. By signing up for the tournament you are agreeing to record gameplay, if asked and submit it to the Administrators for review.

What counts as a violation:
- Illegal software, ie: any form of hacks, macros, etc.
- Spectator(s) providing information about opponent's position to players during matches.
- Breaking any of rules mentioned elsewhere.
- The breaking gentlemen agreements.
- Using game glitches, ie: staying in bugged spots on purpose or ion nade glitching after being informed of it.
- Playing on more than one team's roster is banned (substituting for another team is permitted).
- Using mods that edit textures is prohibited unless explicit permission from the other team is given.
- Excessive toxicity can result in punishment. Emoting and banter does not count as toxicity.
- Teams or players using confusing usernames.

◇ BEHAVIOR ◇

19. We highly encourage everyone to record your games to help with cheat accusations and other disputes.

20. Extensive toxicity may be punished with the suspension or banning of a player.

21. By registering you accept all the rules above including list of banned starcards.

◇ TIME ◇

22. Tournament timeline is May the 31st, 2021 through June the 14th, 2021.

23. Failure to play by administrator deadlines will result in a forfeit for the team who failed to show.
