Blackchrome NBA 2K20 TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS AND TOURNAMENT MECHANICS
Please read these Official Rules before entering the Tournament. Participation in the Tournament constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and Regulations ("Official Rules") and represents that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements set forth below.
Organizer and Sponsor. The organizers of the Tournament (“Organizer” or “We”) are Blackchrome,
1. Tournament may only be entered in or from South Australia from a participant who is over18 years old at the start of the tournament.
2. All games will be played using NBA 2K20’s Play Now Mode on Sony PlayStation 4 or Xbox One platforms.
3. Tournament Requirements: To participate in the Tournament, you must own or have access to NBA® 2K20 (“Game”).
4. You can only play under one (1) account/Gamertag/PSN ID throughout the duration of the Tournament and you must play on the same platform.
5. Entrants suspected of using multiple accounts/Gamertags/PSN IDs in violation of these Official Rules will be subject to disqualification. All aspects of this Tournament are subject to these Official Rules.
6. Match Settings, Format, and Rules
6a) Match Details - Online
· Single Elimination, Best of 1
· Exhaustion: On
· Difficulty: Superstar
· Game Style: Standard
· Quarter Length: 4 Minutes per Quarter
· Control: All
· Game speed: Normal
· Teams: All-Star Teams, All-Time Teams, and Classic Teams are not allowed. Only Current 30 Teams in the NBA Roster are allowed. Players may not pick the same team as their opponent. (No mirror matches)
· If two competing players want to play with the same team, the player with the higher (random) seed will choose first. (e.g. 1st seed is highest)
7. The winning player of each game advances to the next round of their Tournament bracket. The losing Tournament player of each Tournament game will be eliminated from the Tournament.
8. Players are only allowed to use official controllers.
MISCELLANEOUS RULES
1. If the game goes into overtime, the individual with the highest score at the end of the overtime game wins the game.
2. In the event of an outage of power, accidental unplugging, system freeze or some other event outside of either player’s control that would not allow the participants to finish the game, the player with the issue will be deemed to have lost by forfeit.
3. PENALTIES FOR BREAKING THE RULES:
a. If you feel that your opponent is cheating, notify Blackchrome. Blackchrome’s decision is final and if the player is deemed to be cheating, they can be kicked out of the Tournament and all future tournaments.
6. CONDUCT:
a. Please refrain from using “in-your-face” foul language. Also, please be respectful of all other players. Blackchrome have the final say over what is “respectful” and you may be disqualified from the Tournament if you do not cooperate.
b. Narcotics of any kind is not to be used during play.
c. Side-line coaching is allowed. You may offer advice to anyone playing a game.
d. If you are more than 10 minutes late to a game’s posted time, you forfeit that game.
e. Any player that purposely turns off a game while it is in progress shall forfeit that game.
f. No verbal or physical threats of violence to other Tournament participants. This will result in your immediate disqualification from the Tournament.
7. LIABILITY AND ADDITIONAL RULES:
a. We are not responsible for property stolen, broken or lost during the Tournament.
b. All decisions by the judges about any aspect of the Tournament are final and binding.
c. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to cancel or suspend part or all of the Tournament at any time without notice, if in our (or judges’ where applicable) opinion there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Tournament, or if virus, bugs, non-authorised human intervention, fraud or other causes corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or integrity and proper play of the Tournament. In such event, we may void any participants we suspect are at issue and award the prize from among all eligible participants up to the date of cancellation.
d. Our failure to enforce any term of the official rules of the Tournament shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision.
e. We reserve the right to disqualify participants who violate the official rules of the Tournament. If a participant is disqualified, we reserve the right to terminate that participant’s eligibility to participate in the Tournament.
f. We reserve the right to add, delete or change any of these Official Rules at any time during the Tournament, especially when a new glitch is found.
g. By agreeing to participate in the Blackchrome NBA 2K20 Tournament, you grant full permission to the Organizer and their designees and assigns with no obligation to compensate you, to use your name, voice, statements, image, visual likeness, city/state of residence, and/or actions, in addition to any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, and/or other record of your performance(s) in the Tournament in perpetuity worldwide in any manner and in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised and represent that you have the right to grant such permission.
h. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash or credit) of any prizes will be permitted, except that Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. All unspecified expenses are the responsibility of winners.
i. If any prize or prize notification message is not accepted there will be no prize handed to another player.
j. All prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL TAXES WHICH ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.
k. Data Collection:
§ The information necessary to conduct the Tournament will be collected by the Organizer in accordance with their privacy policy/policies (collectively, the "Privacy Policy"). By entering the Tournament, you give your consent to the collection, use and processing, of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy, by the Organizer of your personal information provided at registration as well as any further information provided or collected during your participation, and/or Australian Entrant Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information (if applicable). Upon request, you will be provided with access to your personal data. To exercise such right, you may write to the address provided in the privacy policy. You may also withdraw your personal data upon request, however, you will be disqualified as an entrant in the Tournament if you withdraw your personal data prior to the determination and fulfillment of the prizes.
§ I hereby consent to Organizer forwarding the following customer registration and usage data to Blackchrome for the purpose of conducting joint events and for marketing purposes. This includes in particular: Player name and email address; Player Gamer Tag (optional player field); transmission and live event analysis; and program performance and player engagement analysis.
l. Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer of Warranties.
§ IN NO EVENT WILL THE ORGANIZER, THE SPONSOR OR THE NBA ENTITIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ENTRANT’S ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE WEB SITES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TOURNAMENT AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT, AND/OR DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM ANY WEBSITES ASSOCIATED WITH THE TOURNAMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THIS TOURNAMENT AND ALL PRIZES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO ENTRANT. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS.
§ TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW YOU RELEASE, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE ORGANIZER, THE SPONSOR AND THERELEVANT NBA ENTITIES AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENT COMPANIES, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, DIVISIONS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS AND SHAREHOLDERS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASEES”) FROM ANY CLAIMS, ACTIONS, INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH TO WINNER OR ANY THIRD PARTY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL OR REAL PROPERTY DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, BY ANY REASON, INCLUDING FROM PARTICIPATING IN THIS COMPETITION OR FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, OR USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY.
§ THE RELEASEES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TECHNICAL, HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE MALFUNCTIONS, LOST OR UNAVAILABLE NETWORK CONNECTIONS, INABILITY TO ACCESS A WEBSITE, FRAUD, INCOMPLETE, GARBLED, OR LOST OR DELAYED COMPUTER TRANSMISSIONS OR INACCURATE TRANSCRIPTION OF ENTRY INFORMATION, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE COMPANY, USERS OR BY ANY OF THE EQUIPMENT OR PROGRAMMING ASSOCIATED WITH OR UTILISED IN THIS PROMOTION OR BY ANY TECHNICAL OR HUMAN ERROR WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE PROCESSING OF SUBMISSIONS WHICH MAY DAMAGE A USER’S SYSTEM OR LIMIT A PARTICIPANT’S ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE.
