General rules

Before partaking in the compo we would like to ask you to read the general rule book first. You can find them on the website and it will apply to all compo’s that are being organized.

Competition rules

A group of 3 members who are participants of the 666-lan are able to compete in this compo. Registration is done via the competition page on our website. Here you need to register the steam nicknames, your team name and your seat numbers. Teams are allowed to use 1 substitute who needs to be made known beforehand.

Game settings:

Map: Summoner’s Rift
Team size: 5
Allow Spectators: All
Game type: Tournament Draft
Name: 666 5v5 Team A vs Team B
Password: 666-lan
Bans:

We will be using the 10-ban system being used in the LEC, LCS and other professional league of legends competitions.
This means both sides begin with banning 3 champs each (Ban Phase 1).
Then there will be some picks (Pick Phase 1). Blue picks first, red picks twice, blue picks twice and then red picks once again.
After that there’s a second ban phase (Ban Phase 2), where the two sides alternate bans back and forth, starting with the red side.
There’s then a final pick phase (Pick Phase 2), where red picks once, blue picks twice and red picks one final time.
New & reworked champions:

New & reworked champions are banned for 14 days, starting the day they are released.
If a champion is banned because of this rule during any match of the tournament, the champion will be banned for the entire tournament.
Banning the new champion in a game counts as a normal ban.

Disconnects:

If a player disconnects in the first 30 seconds of the match and the score is still 0-0, then a restart is allowed.
Be aware: a game may only start when both teams have 3 players ready on the server!
Spectators:

Spectators are only allowed if both teams agree to this.
Spectators are only allowed to join at the start of a game, not when the game is already in progress.
Admins or casters are allowed to join anytime as a spectator.
Scores

A screenshot is mandatory at the end of each game as proof of your victory. These screenshots need to be kept during the whole compo.

Format:

<= 7 teams: The teams will play in one big group where every team plays a BO3 against every other team. A ranking will be made based upon the amount of wins. The top 2 will play a BO3 final on stage. If 3rd and 4th place are tied, they will play a decider.

From 8 to 10 teams: The teams will be divided into 2 groups where every team plays a BO1 against every other team. A win will give you 3 points, a tie will give you 2 points, a loss 1 and a forfeited match 0. The best 2 teams from every group will go through to the knock-out phase. This stage will be single elimination with a losers final to determine the 3rd place. The teams that didn’t make it through will get a chance to compete further in the fun compo (if enough teams participate). If 4 teams register then the fun compo will also be single elimination, from 5 teams the format will be double-elimination. In the knock-out phase and fun compo all games will be BO3, the final will be a BO3.

> 10 teams: The teams will be divided into groups of about 4 players where every team plays a BO1 against every other team. A win will give you 3 points, a tie will give you 2 points, a loss 1 and a forfeited match 0. The best 2 teams from every group will go through to the double elimination knock-out phase.
