The details regarding number of players in the groups and the exact times of the games will be determined a few days before the tournament – this depends on the number of participants.

Rules of the event:

1. Players signing up for the event should use their actual nicknames here and in-game as well, in order to facilitate the flow of the tournament and for easier game result identification purposes.

2. The list of allowed items during the tournament can be found on Whitelist.tf.

3. Once the list of participants is closed and before the event starts, a tournament ladder will be created and the players in it will be drawn. In the group phase, round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and 3rd place match, the matches will be played in bo3 format (best of three), whereas for the finals bo5 format (best of five) shall be used. The organiser reserves his right to change the format of the event, depending on the number of participants. All players, without exception, can only play as Scout class. Each of the maps is played until one of the player reaches 20 (twenty) enemy kills. The server will announce this fact in chat, after a player has won.

4. Map pool for the tournament is:

- Snakewater Middle

- Badlands Middle,

- Granary Last,

- Granary Middle,

- Viaduct Middle.

5. The map used for the event is mge_training_v8_beta4b. Local servers provided by the organiser may be used for the event.

6. In group phase, the maps are played in the following order:

- Viaduct Middle,

- Badlands Middle,

- Granary Middle.

In the playoffs, before the match starts, the players should choose which one starts the picks/bans. In case of disagreement between the sides, a heavy fist fight should be performed, using their fists (default melee weapon). The winner chooses to be either side A or side B.

For bo3 matches, the maps are chosen in the following way:

- side A bans a map from this particular match

- side B bans another map

- side B picks the first map

- side A picks the second map

- the remaining map is to be played in the case of a tie

7. During the finals of the tournament in bo5 format, the maps are chosen in the following way:

- side A picks the first map

- side B picks the second map

- side A picks the third map

- side B picks the fourth map

- the remaining map is to be played in the case of a tie

8. Due to the gamemode type (1v1), it is not possible to have a substitute for a player. In the event of temporary inability for one of the players to play a match, another match will be played, a one that doesn't require the final standing of the previous, problematic match. If a player is more than 15 minutes late after a particular match has been announced by one of the players, the player present will win the match by default. If both players are absent for more than 15 minutes after the announcement, and in the event that there are no other matches that can be played during that time, the problematic match will be decided by the organiser using a random number generator, in the same way as in the case of map priority selection for map eliminations. This rule is in action for the final games.

9. After the group phase, 2 teams from each group go through to the playoffs. In the event of ties, the winner of the group shall be decided by the following methods (until a winner is determined), in the order indicated:

- Win vs Tied Participants

- Game/Set Wins

- Points Scored

We recommend reading about how this method works here.

10. During the tournament, cheating in any form is prohibited. Players caught cheating will be disqualified from all PoLANd.tf events.

11. In situations not specified by these rules, a decision will be made by the tournament organiser.
