IGC Overwatch admins reserve the right to change or modify the rules without notice. It is the responsibility of the players and members to keep themselves updated. Any changes made will, however, be announced via change log at the bottom of this post.



Nationality:

This tournament is available for Indian Nationals only. This will be verified at the end when we will distribute prize money.



Game:

Games must be played on Americas (SEA) server where the majority of players have a low ping.
Format: A maximum of twelve (12) teams will be allowed to be registered. Double elimination format.
Space is limited to the first 12 teams. Additional teams will be put on reserve and will be informed if a team backs out.
No maps will be restarted. Pauses will be allowed (once a match for a team, maximum of 3 minutes).
Games will be played with Best of 3 formats and Best of 5 for Semifinals and Finals.
Each team is allowed 1 pause for a map, cannot exceed more than 5 minutes and must inform their team and opponent’s captain and wait for his reply before resuming.
Pauses are allowed only when:
One (1) or more players have disconnected from the Game due to any form of network disconnect or computer crash.
One (1) or more players are experiencing technical malfunctions related to hardware or software problems.
One (1) or more players are experiencing severe illness.
There will be 10 minutes delay between maps at most.
Both team captains must take a screenshot of the round-end score board showing the stats of all players and submit it to the mods.
No player on any team is allowed to stream the matches, regardless of whether or not your team is being streamed at the time of your game(s); recording is allowed.

Teams:

A team must register 6 players minimum. 6 mains and 1 sub are allowed. (In case 6 players are not present at match start team will be disqualified)
6 players must be present for the entire duration specified or else the team is disqualified.
Unregistered substitutes are disallowed.
Each player must also display well-mannered behaviour throughout the entire duration of the Qualifiers. This includes before, during, or after the series. Good behaviour is expected in all public areas of interaction which include but are not limited to Facebook, and the Blizzard Client.
Cheating is prohibited and will lead to a permanent ban from future tournaments.
Intentionally losing the game will lead to a permanent ban from future tournaments.
Going idle will lead to a permanent ban from future tournaments.
Players must use their main account.
Teams must decide 1 captain to be responsible for communication between moderators and team.
Teams must decide 1 backup captain in case he is unavailable.

Maps:

Best of Three

A Toss will be conducted between the two captains.

Winner gets to choose the 1st round map, and the loser will get to decide the starting position (defence/attack).

The loser of the toss will choose map two, and the winner of the toss will decide whether to start on defence or attack.

Third map (if any) will be Control point and chosen by the admins.

Best of Five (FINAL)

A Toss will be conducted between the two captains.

The loser of the toss will choose map two, and the winner of the toss will decide whether to start on defence or attack.

The winner of the toss will select map three and the loser of the toss will decide starting position.

The loser of the toss will choose map four, and the winner of the toss will decide whether to start on defence or attack.

Fifth map (if any) will be Control point and chosen by the admins.
