القواعد
~BRACKET SEEDING~
> All players in the tournament will be “seeded randomly” for our first week.
> The tournament will be run via a Round-Robin or Knockout Pool Stage (depending on numbers) followed by a "Single or Double Elimination" Playoff stage.

~MATCH PLAY~
These rules will be in effect while a single Match in the tournament is played. If you are playing in the tournament, be sure to study this section carefully, especially if you have no prior tournament experience.

CHOOSING CHARACTERS
> There are 3 methods for choosing characters. Standard Selection, Double-Blind Selection, and Side and Character Courtesy.
> This tournament will strictly utilize the "Standard Selection" rule.

STANDARD SELECTION
> Both players choose their characters whenever they want. This is free for all. Players pick who they want and go.

PLAYING THE MATCH
> Once sides and characters have been chosen, the players should begin the first Game in the Match.
The following rules go into effect once a Game ends
> The Match is over when either player wins the required number of games (Two out of 3 for Pools / 3 out of 5 for Playoffs)
> Once a player has won the required number of games, the winner of the Match should report the result to the Judge.
> If there are still Games to be played, the player who lost the Game has the option of switching sides (1p vs 2p) for the next Game.
> The player who won the game does not have the option of switching sides. He must stay on the same side if the loser does not want to switch.
> The player who won the last Game is required to keep the same characters/abilities, game modes, and order of characters for the next Game.
> The player who lost the last Game is allowed to choose whatever characters, game modes, or character order she/he desires.

~Super Smash Bros Ultimate~
1. Use Starter Stage Striking to determine the first stage
2. The players play the first game of the set
3. Winning player of the preceding game bans 2 stages (see 2.3.2). The losing player of the preceding game picks a stage for the next game, adhering to Stage Clause (see 2.3.3) and bans.
4. The winning player of the preceding game must announce their character selection for the next game.
5. The losing player of the preceding game must announce their character selection for the next game.
6. The next game is played.
7. Repeat Steps 3 through 7 for all subsequent games until the set is complete.

ADDITIONAL RULES
> Stage Striking: Players play a best-of-1 Rock-Paper-Scissors, and the winner may choose to either strike first or strike second. Stages are stuck in a P1-P2-P2-P1 order.

> Self-Destruct Moves
If a game ends with a self-destruct move, the results screen will determine the winner. If a sudden death occurs, a standard sudden death play-off game applies (see 1.9).

> Sudden Death: If a game goes to Sudden Death, the winner is determined by stocks and percentage at the time the game ends. If both players are tied in stocks, the player with the lower percentage is the winner. In the event of a percentage tie, or a game in which both players lose their last stock simultaneously, a 1-stock tiebreaker will be played with a 3-minute time limit. The results of an in-game 300% Sudden Death do not count. If Sudden Death occurs in a Sudden Death game, this process is repeated.
