poLANd.tf 2024 #winter rules:
1. Players signing up for the event should use their actual nicknames here and in-game as well, in order to facilitate the flow of the tournament and for easier game result identification purposes.
2. The list of allowed items during the tournament can be found on https://whitelist.tf/poland.

- pl_6v6_5cp - for 6v6 5CP maps
- pl_6v6_koth - for 6v6 King of the Hill maps
- pl_6v6_gc - for Golden Caps (if needed)
3. Tournament map pool is:
- cp_granary_pro_rc16a

4. Allowed class limits are:
- 2 Scouts
- 2 Soldiers
- 1 Pyro
- 1 Demoman
- 1 Heavy
- 1 Engineer
- 1 Medic
- 1 Sniper
- 2 Spies
5. 5CP maps are played with win limit of 5 rounds and time limit 30 minutes. If the resulting score after time limit is tied, a single round rematch with time limit of 10 minutes will be played. If neither of the teams manages to win a round by then, the round is restarted and whoever captures the middle point first wins.
Koth (King of the Hill) maps are played with win limit of 3 rounds.
6. To register a team, it should have at least 6 players. Teams are allowed to have one substitute player.
7. The team must have at least 5 players on the server and no more than 6, for the match to be started and continued.
8. Each team has a right for one 5 minute pause during a map. To request a pause, team A (the one that requests a break) informs the enemy team about it through chat (message "pause please" is enough); team B has 15 seconds to begin the pause. If the pause has not been started after this time and there is no fight ongoing between teams, team A can turn it on themselves. Team B has the option of not initiating a pause if it has been requested in the middle of fighting between the players.
9. Breaks between maps in the match should not last more than 5 minutes. This also applies to golden caps - up to 5 minutes break is allowed between the main map stage and the golden cap.
10. Mercenaries (mercs) are allowed only if the enemy team allows a particular player. Teams do not entitled to get a mercenary by default, without a consent of the opposing team and the tournament admin(s). A team can use a maximum of one merc per match.
11. The tournament is divided onto two phases: group stage and the playoff stage. Each game in the group stage is in the best of one system. Teams have to perform map bans in order to decide what map will be played. They need to agree on who eliminates first. If the two teams cannot agree, they need to perform a heavy fist fight. The winner of this heavy fist fight can decide if he wants to start of if the other team should. The ban order is as follows:

Team A bans a map
Team B bans a map
Team B bans a map
Team A bans a map
Team B bans a map
Team A bans a map
The remaining map is the one being played

After the group phase, 4 teams from each group go through to the playoffs. In the event of ties, the winner of the group shall be decided by the following methods (until a winner is determined), in the order indicated:
- Match wins/draws/losses (overall)
- Points (head-to-head)
- Match score difference (head-to-head)
- Match score difference (overall)
We recommend reading about how this method works here: https://help.toornament.com/match/the-tiebreakers.

Playoff stage is held in a double elimination format without skipping round 1 and with simple grand final format (no game reset after upper bracket team loss), meaning the grand final winner is considered the tournament winner.
Matches in the playoff stage except the Grand Final are held in a best of three system. Teams have to perform map pick/bans in order to decide what map will be played. They need to agree on who pick/bans first. If the two teams cannot agree, they need to perform a heavy fist fight. The winner of this heavy fist fight can decide if he wants to start of if the other team should. The pick/ban order is as follows:

Team A bans a map
Team B bans a map
Team B picks a map
Team A picks a map
Team B bans a map
Team A bans a map
The remaining map is the decider

In case of the grand final the order is:

The team joining the finals from the Upper Bracket can decide if they want to start or if the other team should.
- UB Winner bans
- UB Winner bans
- Team A picks
- Team B picks
- Team A picks
- Team B picks picks
- Remaining map is decider
