The tournament relies on the players support since the matches can not be spectated. Your opponents will be defined by the tournament table. You are free to arrange your matches at a different time and date as proposed and in agreement with the opposing player. The given date in the tournament table shall not be exceeded to proceed with the tournament. Both players have to contact organizers with the match result (winner/loser). Players who are not joining a match in time are disqualified.
For your own safety you should take screenshots or videos of the result after each single game in case the result is challenged by any player. Undocumented and conflicting feedback will lead to disqualification of both players. Only with evidence the cheating player will be disqualified.

Special Game rules:
- all times are given in UTC
- Server (lobby) location: via Steam -- Global - EU (or US if both players agree)
- time per single game: 5 minutes (default)
- After each single game a maximum timeout of 10 minutes can be requested by a player.
- match winner is defined by "best-out-of-3" games (2 games to win OR 1 win with two ties). In case there is still a tie the games are continued until the first game is won.
- host of the game: For players from different regions the non EU player should open the lobby in "global - EU". When both players are from EU or both outside EU region, the upper player according the tournament table is responsible to open the lobby correctly
- judges are available in case of issues and can be contacted via discord with evidence (e.g. screenshot). Judges are: Raelyn#9619 + Gegennatai#3413 + shiwero#3747

Hints:
1. Both players have to contact organizers to provide the match result until the match day ends. Best via Discord direct message – Mail is also possible.
2. Wildcards are possible in case max players are not reached or players are disqualified.
3. First round match pairings are randomly drawn by the organizers
4. Organizers may move players between the rookie and experienced group before the tournament starts based on global Tower Tag ranking
5. dates and duration may change based on number of registered players. Max 64 players can register!

Registration:
To register for the Everest-Climbing Cup 2022 please direct message any of the organizers in discord (Raelyn#9619 + PatchPatch#1738 + nevem#3532) or use the Toornament.com registration. There is a “rookie” group for players new to Tower Tag and an “experienced” group for trained players. When registering, please let us know if you think you are “rookie” or “experienced”

Handling of technical issues:
A player may exit a game because of technical problems within the first 30 seconds of the match. After the first 30 seconds the match must be finished as is. A lobby is considered unstable by following examples:
- players are turned in the wrong direction
- players are unable to shoot
- players are unable to capture towers
- countdown or in-game timer is not working
- players are glitching all over the map
- the lobby was not created according the tournament rules (e.g. wrong map or time)

Hints for solving unstable lobbies:
1.) In the case of an unstable lobby all players must exit the lobby and restart the game.
2.) The designated host player recreates the lobby once.
3.) If a stable lobby cannot be made by the home team player within 10 minutes, the home advantage is passed to the other player. Players may choose to restart Tower Tag or their hardware.
4.) If the next two lobbies are still unstable, the match should be rescheduled.
