Turkey - Winner of 2017 TCL Winter
CIS/Russia - Winner of 2017 LCL Spring
Oceania - Winner of 2017 OPL Split 1
Japan - Winner of 2017 LJL Spring
Southeast Asia - Winner of 2017 GPL Spring

Teams are seeded based on their results from the past 2 years of Worlds and MSI. (Results)
South Korea, China and Europe are auto-seeded to the Group Stage.
The rest of the regions will start in the Play-In Stage, with North America and TW/HK/MO teams starting in Round 2.
The top 4 finishers of the tournament will get the top seeds for the 2017 World Championship Group Stage.
Highest Wildcard Region finisher gets a promotion to Worlds Group Stage with an additional seed in the Play-In stage
