Rules
Teams were tiered by performance of 2016 LPL Summer and 2016 LPL Regional Qualifiers.
12 teams are divided into 6 - Groups A and B. Each group has the following:
Tier 1 (1 team): EDward Gaming, Royal Never Give Up
Tier 2 (2 teams): IMay, Team WE, Snake Esports, Vici Gaming
Tier 3 (2 teams): Invictus Gaming, Newbee, Game Talents, LGD Gaming
Tier 4 (1 team): Qiao Gu Reapers, OMG
10 weeks. Double round robin.
All matches are Bo3. Winner gets 1 point.
Playoffs
Teams are seeded into the bracket based on their placement from Group Stage.
1st placers from each group will qualify for Semifinals.
2nd placers from each group will qualify for Quarterfinals.
3rd and 4th placers from each group will face against each other for a Quarterfinals spot, with 1 win advantage for the 3rd placer.
5th and 6th placers from each group will play in the promotion tournament.
