'Administrator(s)' is defined as the NACE Competition Council, specifically the Fortnite Subcommittee members mentioned above. In the instance of any questions or match disputes, the NACE Fortnite Subcommittee holds the final say on any rule interpretations. Tag the NACE Competition Council in the NACE Discord to get in contact with an administrator.
SECTION 1 REGISTRATION
1.1 Registration. Registration for the NACE Fortnite competition will commence in December 2019 and end on February 7, 2020. Players may only participate in the competition using the same Epic Games ID under which they are initially registered.
1.2 Player Eligibility. All players must compete for an approved NACE member institution.
1.3 Team Entries. More than one team per NACE institution is eligible for competition.
1.4 Player Count. There should be two players per team, plus one substitute.

SECTION 2 COMPETITION FORMAT
Teams will feature duos consisting of two students representing a NACE member institution.
Teams will compete against each other collectively in the same server. Matches will consist of one round.
Based on a team’s performance and placement, teams will be assigned points.
Points for each team will accumulate throughout the season. The lowest scored match for each team will be dropped from total point consideration and the four teams with the highest point total will be invited to an in-person competition at the end of the series.

SECTION 4 MATCH FORMAT AND SCHEDULE
Teams will compete against each other in weekly matches throughout the season
Default times for matches are Tuesday 8:00pm EST and 5 minutes following the first and second match of each week.
The form of competition is Fortnite, played on the current patch
Duos from each institution will join a lobby with each other team competing and queue into a private lobby provided by the NACE National Office and appropriate subcommittee members. Custom lobby codes will be posted in the #fortnite-competition channel on the NACE Discord 15 minutes prior to match start time.
Points will be awarded according to the following:

Victory Royale: 15 Points
2nd: 12 Points
3rd - 4th: 9 Points
5th - 8th: 6 Points
9th - 12th: 3 Points
Each Elimination: 1 Point

SECTION 5 WORKING TOGETHER AND SABOTAGE
Players on one duo may not coordinate or strategize with players on another duo team. This includes another duo from their own institution. Competition is expected to be between each duo independently.
Teams may stream their matches, so long as there is a minimum three minute stream delay.

SECTION 6 TIEBREAKERS
If any ties occur during competition, then the items listed below will be used as the tiebreaker in this order:
Total Eliminations
Average match placement (1st thru 50th)
Coin Flip

SECTION 8 DISCONNECTS.
8.1 If a player fails to connect or join a NACE custom lobby game due to errors of their own or a bug in Fortnite, a remake will not occur. Using the top 8 days of matches, to determine seeding for the Final Match, teams are given the opportunity to disregard their worst day performance, which may be a disconnect.

8.2 If enough Players disconnect such that an outcome for the Round cannot be determined (i.e., over 10 teams), then an Administrator may cause all teams to remake the Round.

8.3 If a remake occurs pursuant to subsection (i), then the Team(s) affected by the disconnect may use a checked-in substitute Player to replace the disconnected Player (if applicable).

SECTION 9 BROADCAST
Participants are not prohibited from broadcasting, live streaming, or uploading video content, including stills, of their in-Game participation in the NACE match. Streams must be delayed by three minutes or more to prevent stream peeking issues.

Stream peeking violates the spirit of NACE competition, but there is not an easy way to enforce an anti-stream peeking policy in NACE Fortnite, thus we will not be ruling either way on matters related to stream peeking.

SECTION 10 BREAKS
Administrator may, in an Administrator’s sole discretion, impose or approve breaks between NACE matches. Any such break will not exceed 10 minutes unless Administrator expressly approve otherwise under exceptional circumstances.
