Tournament rules
- Tournament consists of 8 races played on 8 different tracks.
- Each participant in the tournament picks 1 of the 8 tracks.
- Races will be 5 laps.
- No items are allowed to be used at any times.
- If you do use an item and it impedes another racer at any time, you will be disqualified from that race.
- Speed Ghosts are not allowed to be used at any times. Using them will result in disqualification from that race.
- Using any glitches/exploits/lap skips at any times will result in disqualification from that race.
- If you are disqualified from a race you will score no points no matter where you place. Racers below you will move above you and you may continue in the tournament but if you're disqualified from a 2nd race then you will be disqualified from the whole tournament.
- In the event of a 1st place tie at the end of the tournament, a deciding race will be carried out on a track chosen at random. The decider race will only be 3 laps.
- Points will be awarded depending on placement in each race. The placements are as follows:
1st - 12 points / 2nd - 9 points / 3rd - 7 points / 4th - 5 points
5th - 4 points / 6th - 3 points / 7th - 2 points / 8th - 1 point
