The National Association of Collegiate Esports will once again team up with Hi-Rez studios to create collegiate competition. For the Spring 2019 semester, NACE and Hi-Rez will be holding an entirely online competition with title games SMITE and Paladins. These tournaments will be the NACE 2019 Gem Cup for SMITE and the NACE 2019 Crystal Cup for Paladins.
Registration for both tournaments will begin on January 1, 2019 and run through January 31, 2019. Registration is open to NACE member and non-member collegiate institutions. Competitions will begin on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Tournaments will be held on the Toornament platform. Registration and competition will be held through this platform.

First place receives 7,000 Gems per player
Second place receives 3,000 Gems per player
Third and fourth places receive 1,200 Gems per player
Fifth through eighth places receive 400 Gems per player

-Both NACE and non-NACE schools may participate
-Players on a team must attend the same institution
-Players cannot simultaneously compete in both titles
-Players must be ATLEAST part-time (6 credit hours)
-Players must have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA on 4.00 scale


-Double Elimination Bracket:
Seeding will be based off of placement in the NACE 2018 Championships
-One online match per week, occurring at 6:00 PM CT on Saturdays
-Online Bo5 Final


-Registration: Jan 1st - Jan 31st
-First Match: Feb 2nd


-Brackets will be updated a day after the default match time
default match times: 6PM CT Saturdays

-Reschedules will be allowed if both teams agree upon a time BEFORE the end of Saturday

-Teams will be allowed a 15 minute grace period to have all five players in a match lobby, ready to begin, before a no-show is granted to the opposing team

-Screenshot match results, report scores on "report-results" channel of the Skillshot College discord.

Lobby Setting

-The team higher on the match bracket will have first pick for drafting purposes
-The team on the LEFT side of the lobby will be "first pick"
-For every game after the first, the losing team of the previous match will choose whether they are first or second pick


-Teams will be free to stream their matches
-Player POV streams must have a minimum 3 minute delay
-Spectator streams require no additional stream delay
