Tournament rules

1. General

1.1 Participation
In order to participate in any tournament you need both a valid ITU LAN Ticket and to be present at LAN as it will be held on two VR headset (Meta Quest 3) supplied by the LAN crew. This also means there is a zero tolerance to any non accidental harm done to the headsets, and any repairs from the damage issued in this way will be billed on the participant inflicting it. Furthermore, the participant will immediately be disqualified for any violent/aggressive behaviour, we are all here to have fun in the end, and this is agreed to when you sign up for the tournament.

1.2 Brackets
In order to allow everyone a fighting chance the tournament will be split into two groups, one of participants playing on normal/hard difficulty and one on expert/expert+. This is based on questions in the sign-up, of which any tampering or lying in terms of ones skill to be places in a lower bracket will lead to disqualification.

2. Game Set-up

2.1 Normal Rounds
Participants will borrow an account to play on, and will be linked up two players against each other in the same online game. A song is then randomly chosen from one of the prepared three tables* corresponding to the round, after each player has banned three songs from the table. The song difficulty is then chosen between the two players (or by a coin toss if they cannot decide). The song is then played out and the player with the highest score moves on to the next round (best of one).

2.2 Final Round
Follows the pattern of the normal rounds except that it is best of three, and the players each takes turn to pick a song to play after the banning phase, with the third being random as in the normal rounds (it cannot be one of the songs already played).

3. Song Tables*

The song tables does not include any songs from DLC's and only official content, it also varies in possible difficulties with each table housing generally harder songs than the prior.
