Special Rules:

Teams are eligible to play if at least three (2) of five (5) Players playing in a game are Locally Trained Representatives (LTR). A Player is considered an LTR if at least one of the following conditions is met:

- The Player has had primary residence in Portugal within 36 out of the last 60 months immediately preceding their participation in the first match of the current LPLOL Season.
- The Player has played in two (2) of the last three (3) "European Regional League" (ERL) seasons immediately preceding their participation in the first match. In addition, a season counts towards the LTR requirement for a Player if the Player was part of an ERL or LEC team for the majority of the matches in the season - even if the Player did not actively participate in the corresponding ERL - as long as the Player did not participate in another ERL.
- The Player has had his primary residence in Portugal for at least 36 months since his 13th birthday.

No Player shall be considered eligible to participate in any Pro-Am Tournament Match before having lived 16 full years.

Players who are no longer a member of a team of an ERL, "Professional Esports League" or their secondary leagues, but have participated in at least 50% of the Summer regular split in one of these leagues, are excluded from participation in this qualifier or any other stage (besides from the organization they have played during the Summer)

Note: ERL only refers to Divisions 1 and 2 of the respective leagues. "Professional Esports League" are leagues that qualify for Worlds, such as the LEC, LCS or TCL. A split within these leagues also includes events such as European Masters, MSI or Worlds.

Up to ten (10) eligible players per team may register during the Open Qualifier registration period. No additional players can be added to the roster after the end of the registration phase for the Open Qualifier.

After the Open Qualifier phase, the use of unregistered players are not permitted, except for emergencies.

In the case of a verified emergency, a team may add a substitute after this deadline, however, the substitute must meet all of the conditions below:
- Must not have played in the WGR LPLOL Cup (players that played on the open qualifier are exception)
- Must have been eligible to participate in LPLOL 72h prior to the official match.

Teams from the same Organization/Entity are not allowed to participate in the WGR LPLOL Cup. Organizations will be required to declare which of their teams will represent them. The Administration reserves the right to apply this rule and exclude teams that have not been registered as an organization but clearly belong to the same organization.
