Into Valhalla Rulebook:
How to register:
You are required to fill out this Google Form (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HuyY-lvJJCWbJ3ZBuIAXg9jG4NgT7qmCmrexZNmMUo8/edit) with your team’s information. Once you fill this in you will be invited to the tournament page on X, and then invited to verify your team.
General:
The group stages will take place between X and X.
We will have interviews and create content with players before the tournament and will require a single member (preferably a female or non-binary member) of each team to be present and work with our content team.

Platform
The tournament will be run through the X platform which will have check in and link to join each game.

Players must check in 15 minutes before their game is due to start on the X platform.

Sign-ups for the tournament will be available as soon as the Tournament is announced, and will run until 1 week before the Tournament starts.
Prizes
All earned prizes are not exchangeable for any other form of prize including any currency or merchandise from either Into The Breach or Dota Valkyries.


Once the tournament has finished players are to wait until they are contacted by a Staff member of either Dota Valkyries or Into The Breach in order to receive their prize.


Format
Week 1 will be will be Group stages where teams will be seeded into two groups

All games will be BO1 apart from the Grand Finals which will be a BO3




Teams & Players
At least 2 members of the team are required to speak fluent English to be able to communicate with the admin and perform the verification check. Ideally one of these two players will be the team captain, and the players who will conduct the interview.

A team must consist of a minimum of 5 players, with a minimum of 3 female or non-binary players and a maximum of 2 male players. This includes any registered subs.

All members of each team (including subs) must go through a verification check which includes but is not limited to; Webcam check, Dotabuff check, Discord check and Steam account check, MMR check.

Players must play and be verified on the account with the highest MMR. Players are not allowed to play on unverified accounts.

Registered teams can have up to 3 subs, however these must all be verified along with the main team before the beginning of the group stages.

All members of the registered team must be calibrated and have an MMR upon sign up.


Stand-ins can be used, max 3 stand-ins in a game.
Stand-ins must be verified along with the rest of the team before the tournament begins.
Stand-ins must not be a member of any other team.
If a stand-in is used, Admins must be notified at least 10 minutes before game time.

All players are required to have their webcams on during games. This will only be visible to the admin assigned to their team and will not be used for broadcasts.
Hosting
Side/Pick will be decided using Valve’s integrated system for coin toss. The first toss will be alternated for the second game, with a final toss for the third game.


Default server for the tournament is Luxembourg.


A representative (Player or Manager) from each team must be in contact with an admin 10 mins before the game is supposed to start.

Behaviour
This tournament will be operating under a zero-tolerance policy for poor behaviour. Any such cases being reported will be investigated and the relevant users will be removed.
Flaming and bad-mouthing are not allowed.
Any usage of all-chat should be kept to a minimum, or otherwise remain positive.
No offensive nicknames are allowed.
Players should, while in game, use their official nicknames.
Tipping is restricted to your own team.
Streaming and spectating
Community streams are allowed, and we encourage all participating players to stream their own perspective with a 5 minute delay.


“The Valkyrie Cup” must be included in the stream’s title, in a visible place.


A stream command with a link to the Dota Valkyries Twitter Account and WIE twitter account needs to be added with a 20 minute timer.

Disconnects, pauses and crashes
Pausing is not allowed during picks unless the captain disconnects.
If the game crashes during the picks, the game will be remade and the same heroes will be picked.

Players have rights to pause the game if needed. Be sure to announce the pause in all-chat a few seconds before if not an emergency.
The reason for the pause must be reasonable.
Both teams must agree on resuming before resuming the game.

If a player disconnects, the player’s team should pause the game right away.

A team has the right to 10 minutes worth of pause per game. (per team and per game) After that, the opponent team can resume unless the admin stated otherwise.
Punishments
If a team is unable to be in a the lobby 5 minutes before game start the following punishments apply:
3 min late - Warning
5 min late - Draft penalty level 1
10 min late - Draft penalty level 2
15 min late - Draft penalty level 3
20 min late - Lose game
30 min late - Lose series

Game end
The game is over when either team’s Ancient Fortress is destroyed or when “GG” or a variant of “GG” is called in all-chat.
When “GG” (or a variant of “GG”) is typed, it’s marked as a final surrender of the game.
