Rules
1) Matches will be shown on the Toornament website bracket, and will be created at the start of each round.

2) Rounds will last 3 days each in both brackets. In the losers bracket, players can request to begin rounds early if they wish, allowing them to better keep up with the winners bracket.

3) On stage one, a win is worth 3 points, a draw is worth 2 points, and a loss is worth 1 point. No points will be awarded for forfeits, inactivity, or disqualification for foul play. With each stage, the win values will go up by 1 point (so a win will be worth 4 points on stage two).

4) When a match completes, one player should report the result in #tournaments on discord

5) Unfinished games due to inactivity will be decided by hosts at the end of the round. If only one player is either passively or intentionally inactive (defined by altogether absence or extensive stalling of gameplay and move making, be it accidental or purposeful), they will automatically forfeit the game, and will receive zero points. If both players are completely inactive (no moves made and no messages sent), they will both forfeit, rather than being considered a tie. Remember, losses still count for points, whereas forfeits do not, so make sure to demonstrate activity, even if your opponent does not. Activity can be demonstrated through messages in the in game chat box or public messages to your opponent on The Garden Gate Discord server regarding the game.

6) Sandboxing is allowed, though is discouraged for the sake of faster play and general courtesy. Please do not delay games by spending too much time in the sandbox.

7) Undos are allowed. Asking for and granting undos IS encouraged, though it is not technically required.

8) Cursing and foul language is discouraged, though it is okay if something slips through. Outright bullying, harassment, or excessive trash talk, on the other hand, will lead to immediate disqualification from the match, and indeed the tournament as well if instances get too egregious. We may be competing, but we should still be kind and respectful to each other.
